The details

Nicework is looking for a passionate, full-time, junior to mid-level, brand strategist to join our team. This role involves advising on as well as formulating strategies to help launch our clients’ products and services, while also collaborating with our clients’ advertising, public relations, and product teams.

We own some of our own brands and work with incredibly interesting clients from around the world. You will be expected to work hard, drink tea, and most importantly, have fun.

You

  • Are insatiably curious

  • Have 2–3 years experience in a brand strategy / marketing role with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Enjoy learning from people who have seen and done a bunch

  • Are a team player but are equally happy to take a piece of work from brief to presentation on your own if needs be

  • Are capable of surviving periods of high pressure without melting down

  • Have an attitude that is positive and proactive

  • Have a bachelor's degree in marketing, communication or branding (unless your skills are beyond comparison, in which case we can talk about it)

What you’ll do

  • Research current market trends and predict future trends that might affect a clients’ product or service

  • Perform target audience research

  • Interview clients and their stakeholders

  • Develop and present brand strategies in line with Nicework’s strategy framework

  • Develop key brand messaging from the brand strategy

  • Research and ideate brand names

  • Contribute to the brand identity development from the creative teams

  • Client interactions, face to face, Zoom, written and by telephone

  • Develop consistent content for Nicework’s marketing; our podcast, blog and social media platforms

  • Research to identify competitors and their strengths or weaknesses

What else?

  • Guide juniors and external resources

  • Proactively identify revenue opportunities

  • Have a high level of self quality control

  • Other duties as defined by management

Sometimes the hours are long but not ‘long’ like most other agencies where they like to squeeze all the creative life from you. Just that, occasionally, you’ll need to put in some extra hours.
